Grant Writing, and How to Get Started
If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about grant writing (especially as a part time option or to earn some extra cash), you’ll want to join us for our next STC Suncoast chapter meeting on Thursday, June 5th in Sarasota.
Dr. John Porter, the executive director of the American Grant Writers Association, will cover the basics of grant writing, including exactly what grant writing is and how to get started. As a certified grant writer and grant manager, Dr. Porter travels around the country consulting businesses and not-for-profits and conducting grant writing workshops. He’s been writing grants for over 25 years and was recently quoted in an article for Inc Magazine on How to Write a Winning Grant Proposal. (You can find out more about the AGWA by visiting their website: www.agwa.us.)
